Systel Inc., was founded in 1988 by Vimal Kothari as an engineering consulting company. Mr. Kothari graduated from the University of Houston with a MSEE degree and has been involved in electronic designs since 1981. In 1994, the company began work on its hallmark ruggedized designs and immediately started designing and manufacturing Rugged Rack Mount Servers and Workstations. Since then, Systel has expanded its award-winning rugged product lines to include Embedded Systems, High-Density Storage Systems, Flat Panel Computers and Displays, High-Performance GPU Solutions, Wall Mount Computers, Laptops and Tablets, and ATCA Platforms.
A new state of the art facility was opened in Sugar Land Texas November 2003 providing 30,000 sq. ft. of R&D, engineering, testing, and manufacturing space. The test area includes a shock and vibration analysis lab and a walk-in environmental burn-in chamber. Additionally, the facility can support an additional 35,000 sq. ft. for future expansions. Systel Inc. is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company with systems deployed worldwide for mission-critical applications in a variety of markets including Defense, Oil and Gas, Automation, and Transportation.
