Systel, Inc., the industry leader in rugged computing, announced the availability of the new Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v4 processor product family for use in their rugged rack mount server and workstation products. Based on the Broadwell microarchitecture, the v4 refresh will provide increased performance and power including up to 22 cores and support for DDR4 2400 memory at the same price point as the v3 family. Additionally, the new v4 is a socket compatible replacement for the current v3 processor family, enabling Systel customers to enjoy increased performance without any disruption.

Systel is proud to be an Intel® Technology Provider and collaborate with Intel® to consistently bring the latest rugged technology to market. Systel’s rugged servers and workstations are available in 1U-4U form factors and are designed and built to excel in mission-critical applications under the harshest environmental conditions.

“Intel®’s next generation of Xeon® 2600 processors will provide distinct advantages in power and speed, security, and efficiency to both our industrial and military customers,” said Don Harrison, Systel’s Vice-President of New Product Development. “The increased performance combined with Systel’s 10 Point Survivor ruggedization technology will increase the durability and life of the overall system.”
